Why Invest Into the Motosport Container?
The VP racing fuel jug is made with a high grade polyethylene (the most popular plastic in the world.)
A super simple structure, polyethylene is tough, it’s even used in bullet proof vests.
With 30% more material than regular fuel containers, the Motorsport Container is very durable, lasts longer, and can withstand harsher conditions.
Even better is the container comes with a 3 year limited warranty against cracks, spills, and leaks.
The Motorsport Container is designed for rapid refueling of race vehicles.
Use it on the track with fuels like Nitromethane or Methanol.
It is not designed to store or transport race fuel for long periods of time. (That matter is too dangerous and hazardous, and requires other specialized containers.)
Instead, it can be used to store or transport other materials like:
How Much Does the Motorsport Container Cost?
Variety of Colors
The VP 5 gallon container comes in 14 different colors

The 5 gallon jug is 3.5 lbs and dimensions are 10.2 × 10.3 × 21.3 in.
How to Use the VP Motosport Container
You will need the container itself and the hose dispenser.
Refill like you would with any normal gas can…
Uncap and hook up the hose dispenser to the gas tank and you’re ready to go!
Can I Store Race Fuel Long-Term in the Motorsport Container?
No, the fuel is not meant for long term storage.
Again, this container is used for transfer and refueling cars
The maximum amount of time you can store fuel in these containers is about 2 to 4 weeks maximum.
The container, although durable, is made of plastic and all plastic has tiny air holes. This means that long term storage could lead to evaporation of the race fuel out of the plastic.
What Should I Store Race Fuel In?
Steel drums are a common practice for storing high quality racing fuel.
If you still have the original VP steel drum that your fuel came in, just use that.
These drums need to be tightly sealed and prevent sunlight (UV rays from entering). Sunlight can cause evaporation and lower octane level quality.
It’s also best to store fuel in areas of regulated temperature. Constant changes in temperature can lower the overall quality of the fuel.
How Long Does VP Fuel Last?
If properly stored in a steel drum or the original sealed container, VP fuels can last 2 years.
It’s essential after opening the container that you properly reseal it.
Improper sealing will allow air, light, and changes in temperature to effect the fuel quality, lowering it’s shelf life.
