NOW HIRING: Rental Sales Representative based out of Stamford, CT
Please note that this position requires regular travel to meet with clients or attend industry events.
Duties:
Promote the profitable rental and sales of Kato & Toro equipment
- Continually identify and contact new and existing customers in the assigned territory
- Provide high quality and cost-effective coverage of the assigned territory
- Service existing accounts and develop new accounts
- Promote the benefits and overall value of Kato and Toro equipment
- Process rental and sales orders, address customer concerns and maximize rental and sales business/growth
Manage and develop the assigned rental & sales territory
- Work cooperatively with other Rental & Sales Reps to maximize geographic sales coverage
- Maintain accurate data on the activities of customers within the territory
- Maximize Contractors Supply’s share of the total rental business of each existing customer
- Develop and maintain awareness of the state of the construction industry as well as all competitive activity
Contribute to the quality of the customer’s experience with Contractors Supply
- Become an integral part of the customer’s business
- Work closely with other members of Contractors Supply’s team to maximize customer service
- Continuously develop product/industry knowledge and business acumen
Qualifications:
We are seeking a highly motivated self-starter, results-driven individual that possesses the following qualifications:
- Knowledge of equipment rental business
- Ability to prospect and cultivate new accounts
- Strong organizational skills to manage leads, customer information, and sales records effectively
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with customers
- PC Proficient (Including high proficiency utilizing Microsoft Office and other software)
- Good influencing skills
- Economically motivated
- Must have a valid driver’s license for travel *This is an outside sales position*
Essential Physical Job Qualifications:
- Standing and/or sitting for prolonged periods of time
- Hand coordination (typing and writing)
- Frequent walking and potential need for climbing
- Occasional forward bending and reaching
- Carrying (up to 20lbs.)
